Paulius takes the plunge twice

Just weeks before taking the plunge into marriage, Sodexo Ireland employee Paulius Gracius (pictured right ) undertook possibly a more risky dive.

Gracius, who works in the staff restaurant at Creganna Tactx in Ballybrit Business Park, had held a lifelong ambition to complete the skydive, and he went ahead with the dare-devil event, raising€600 for charity, just weeks ahead of his impending nuptials.

Gracius said he was concerned he might “break a leg” before the big day.

“My manager, co-workers and all the staff at Creganna Tactx were really supportive in helping me raise the money. My only concern was that I might accidentally break a leg and be on crutches for my wedding. I wasn’t nervous at all on the day, the weather was great and the skydive was amazing. My fiancee came on the day to support me and she said she was glad when I landed safely as we were getting married just a few weeks later.”

The skydive was organised for the company’s Global Stop Hunger campaign which benefits St Vincent de Paul and Barnardos in Ireland. The Sodexo team at Creganna Tactx organised a cake sale and prize draw in the staff restaurant to help.
