POPULAR IRISH actor Don Wycherly recently launched the fourth Galway Theatre Festival which will run from October 25 to 31.
This year’s programme features the return of Dragonfly with two short plays; Jinx Lennon’s one man audio-visual performance; a production direct from Dublin’s Absolut Fringe Festival; British visual artist Donna Rutherford’s multi-media piece KIN; Mephisto’s new production Almost A Fantasy.
At the launch, festival director Róisín Stack spoke of the new relationships GTF was forming with national organisations such as Absolut Fringe, Cork MidSummer Festival and the Irish Theatre Institute, and how important they are to the festival’s expansion.
