The Galway One World Centre has moved premises and is inviting the public to find out more about the centre and its activities this Saturday at its open day.
The centre has been operating out of different locations since 1992 and provides training and education on global development and social justice issues. Its new location is at 76 Prospect Hill.
“We work with local schools, youth groups, and community organisations,” said Heike Vornhagen, co-ordinator of the centre. “Apart from workshops and courses we run an annual African Film Festival, a week of Latin American events, and Education for Liberation evening classes.”
The open day takes place on Saturday from 11am to 2pm. For more information contact the Galway One World Centre on 091 - 530590 or see www.galwayowc.org
