Scallywags opens in Barna tomorrow

Scallywags the company which sells a top range of children’s clothing in stores in Mayo and Galway, has just opened a new store in Barna.

Scallywags opened in Tuam in 2004, Claremorris in September 2010 and on Friday it opened in Barna in a premises located opposite SuperValu.

Business is good says owner Norrie Coen as she feels people keep coming back for her range of stylish quality clothes from label Name It, formerly known as Exit. Scallywags in Barna will be open seven days.

“A happy customer makes a successful business, and we have repeat customers from as far as Australia and USA when returning from holidays. Our team works very hard and makes the store an experience. We have a play area in each store, and customers feel welcome here,” she said.

Catering for from newborns to pre-teens, Scallywags is now stocking other brands such as Ben Sherman and Pampolina, with accessories and jewellery, for older children, and a selection of outfits for christenings.

Ms Coen said that many people who buy clothes from the Name It brand tend to come back as the children get older because they appreciate the quality of the clothes. The autumn/winter range is now in store, with coats available from €24.95, tracksuits from €28.95, tops from €6.95, and two pairs of jeggings for €22.95.
