SEPTEMBER IS Silent Disco month at the Róisín Dubh with the Dominick Street venue running four such events over the next few weeks.
The dates for the Silent Discos are Tuesday September 13 at 10pm; Saturday 17 at 11pm; Tuesday 20 at 10pm; and Tuesday 27 at 10pm.
Pick up your headphones on the way in and switch between the two DJs to see who is playing the songs you most want to dance to - expect pop, classic rock, and indie anthems; novelty tunes; and a whole lot of cheese.
If you need a break, take the headphones off and marvel at the bizarre spectacle of a room full of people dancing and singing different songs, even though no music is to be heard.
Now because of the month that is in it, does this mean DJs Gugai or Graham might play Earth, Wind & Fire’s ‘September’ on any of the nights?
Admission is €5. The admission price for the Tuesdays includes free pint of Bavaria and a free shot.
