GALWAY TENORS Frank Naughton and Sean Costello will present their show, From Broadway to La Scala, in the Town Hall Theatre on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 at 8pm.
The singers, going under the name of Duo Vocis, will perform musical greats like ‘Bring Him Home’, ‘Music Of The Night’, and ‘Love Changes Everything’, as well as opera favourites such as ‘The Brindisi’, ‘Funiculi Funcula’, and ‘Nessun Dorma’. The duo will be joined by musical director John Roe and his six piece orchestra.
“I’ve been working with Sean Costello for the past seven to eight years now,” says Frank Naughton. “After I recovered from illness I was really looking at what direction my life would take, I got a call from Sean one day out of the blue and he said himself and our other friend, James Murphy were putting together The Galway Tenors and would I be part of it? Of course I said yes, and never really looked back since.”
The Galway Tenors performed at The Ryder Cup, The Volvo Ocean Race, The Galway Oyster Festival, and in Dublin Castle and since then Frank and Sean have also performed together at The National Concert Hall and the Cork Opera House.
“Working together so much recently it seemed the natural move to create Duo Vocis,” says Frank. “We both love performing and have a shared interest in both opera and musicals.”
