Dear Connacht Supporters,
May I take this opportunity to thank you all for your support so far, it is a very exciting time for Connacht Rugby with the Heineken Cup coming to Galway and the new RaboDirect PRO12 kicking off this weekend. Our first match is away to Benetton Treviso in Northern Italy on Saturday and this will be a good test for our squad which contains many new faces. The players have worked exceptionally hard over the Summer months and we have 3 tough preseason matches under our belts now so we are well prepared.
Everyone is looking forward to our first home match in the redeveloped Sportsground. The covering of the Clan Terrace is currently underway and the stand will look very impressive when it’s completed, providing shelter to over 2000 supporters and creating a real buzz about the Sportsground. We welcome the Scarlets here on Saturday 10th September and as our first home match in the RaboDirect PRO12 we are expecting a huge turnout.
Season Ticket sales have broken all our expectations this year and they still provide the best value for money to see Connacht play. A Season Ticket guarantees entry to all 11 of our home games, our 3 home matches in the Heineken Cup, a scarf and a free pint at all our home games so if you haven’t got one already I urge you to show your support for Connacht Rugby and purchase one soon!
