A ‘life-changing’ year for talent show star Don

It has been a busy year for singer/songwriter Don Stiffe who while wowing viewers during RTÉ’s All Ireland Talent Show also embarked on a “life-changing” journey with Educogym.

Don trained 3 times per week for half hour per day, he received personalised tailored nutritional programme to suit him and the results he needed to achieve. He has lost 6 stone and 30" off his body. His energy, confidence and focus has increased massively.

“I did the 6 week programme to see if it suited me and then continued after seeing the amazing transformation.... It was appointment based so i knew my times and this kept me focused.

The musician acknowledged that performing on the TV show had been quite stressful initially, however working out three times a week and sticking to the healthy food programme at Educogym helped him immensely with his stress levels and confidence.

“It’s genuinely helped me to perform, to build up my confidence and help me focus. I started on the programme and the weight just started to come down. It also helped me with stress, about two and a half months into the show there was no more stress, after that I really started to enjoy it. I’m exercising a lot more, I’m not as lerthargic as I used to be, and I’m more focused on everyday things. The support you get is fantastic, the staff are really hands-on, which is great when you are doing very strenous work-outs for 20 minutes three times a week. There has been a huge benefit to my life, I’ve adjusted my whole attitude to life. When other people notice the change in me it is a fantastic boost, but I’m still continuing on this journey which has been life changing,” he said.

Since being runner-up in the final of the All Ireland Talent Show Don’s music career has received a major boost. He released his first album, Start of a Dream in 2006, and has been on the gig scene for many years but it was the exposure on the show that helped Don secure a manager and begin talks with a record company. Don has many plans for the future including the release of his next album in a few months time and a country-wide tour which begins in October.

“I’m very thankful to all the people of Galway for the help and support they gave me along the way,” said an appreciative Don Stiffe.
