After a long break over the summer months, the Cooper Galway Senior Hurling Championship resumes with two attractive fixtures this Sunday at 6pm in Killimor and Athenry.
In Killimor, there is a group A top-of-the-table clash between Portumna, who are hot favourites to regain the county cup, and Mullagh. Both sides have shown good form in the group stages and Mullagh have full points from their three games. Portumna are unbeaten too and they will be keen to lay down a marker about their intentions for the months ahead.
In Athenry (6pm ), Carnmore, who have been going well and are unbeaten in their two games, face city side Liam Mellows, who will look to David Collins, John Lee and Aonghus Callanan to keep their unbeaten run going.
