A Union of Students in Ireland grant information evening, organised in conjunction with GMIT and NUIG students’ unions, will take place in Galway next week.
The event will take place in the Harbour Hotel on Monday August 15 from 6pm.
The grant and accommodation information is aimed at students, and the families of students, who are either returning to or starting college this year.
This event will provide students with the opportunity to find out everything they need know about the student grants system in Ireland and have their questions answered about student accommodation. Students’ union officers will be on hand to offer advice to students and answer any questions on grant entitlements that they may have.
Free practical help will also be available to students or parents who may need assistance filling out the relevant application forms.
Grant application forms are now downloadable from www.studentfinance.ie and will also be available at the local grant information session
The western launch of the USI rent book will also take place during the evening.
