BEAUTY & The Beast, the much loved fairy tale of the man-beast whose gentle manners and kindness wins the heart of a young woman, will be performed by Tuam Youth Theatre.
Tuam Youth Theatre’s production of Disney’s Beauty & the Beast musical runs in Scoil Bríde Mercy Secondary School, Tuam, from Wednesday August 24 to Sunday August 28.
The show of the Academy Award-winning animated film is the stage of adaptation by its original screenwriter, Linda Woolverton, and features songs by Alan Menken (Little Shop of Horrors ), Howard Ashman (Aladdin ), and Tim Rice (Evita ).
The cast is Danielle Carroll (Belle ), Richard Cunningham (Beast ), Paul Marsden (Gaston ), Patrick Shaughnessy (Lumiere ), Emma Brady (Mrs Potts ), Thomas Monaghan (Cogsworth ), Dylan Powell (Maurice ), Amy Warren (Babette ), Aileen Newell (Madame de la Grande Bouche ), Damien Comer (Lefou ), Ian Feerick (Monsieur D’Arque ), and Mary Newell and Alan Kelly in the role of Chip.
