The ‘Arab Spring’ revolutions which have swept through North Africa and the Middle East, have seen brutal dictators ousted and demands for democracy and liberty.
A public meeting on the revolutionary movements in Tunisia, Egypt, Greece, and Spain, entitled Revolution On The Rise, takes place on Tuesday in Richardson’s Bar, Eyre Square, at 8pm.
The speakers will be Dr Saber Elsafty, an Egyptian GP who has lived and worked in Galway for 30 years, and John Molyneaux of the Socialist Workers Party.
