Renault Ireland extends its scrappage scheme

As the Government Scrappage Scheme comes to an end, Renault Ireland has extended and doubled its own scrappage scheme.

The car manufacturer says it will give customers the opportunity to continue to save up to €5,800 on every 2001 registered car.

From last Friday (July 1 ), the top-selling Clio Royale will be available from from €9,990, the Mégane Royale diesel from €15,300, and the Fluence Royale diesel from €16,000, with lowest car tax Band A and five years unlimited mileage warranty

Customers do not have to wait until the 10th birthday of their 2001 registered motor, they can get extended and double scrappage on any Renault car now.

Eric Basset, managing director of Renault Ireland, says: “Scrappage can’t stop: it has worked, for the industry for the customer, and for the economy, so we will continue to offer customers value with double scrappage and extend it to all 2001 cars. A Clio Royale from €9,990 is fantastic value for the level of specification included.”
