Tell the truth in The Truth Booth

“TRUTH! WHAT is that?” Pontius Pilate famously asked Jesus, and it is a question with which religion and philosophy continues to grapple.

However you need not be a theologian or a philosopher to have a view on this and a new interactive exhibition, as part of the Galway Arts Festival, will be asking Galwegians to share their views on what they consider truth to be.

In Search of the Truth (The Truth Booth ), from the Cause Collective artists Ryan Alexiev, Hank Willis Thomas, and Jim Ricks, runs in the Absolut Festival Gallery in the Galway Shopping Centre.

The Truth Booth is a giant inflatable installation shaped like speech bubble which has a seat and a and video recording booth inside. Members of the public can enter the booth and once seated inside they will be invited to record their opinions and thoughts starting with the phrase “The truth is...”

The responses will be tracked and compiled on www.thetruthbooth.org

In Search of the Truth (The Truth Booth ) runs for the duration of the arts festival. Admission is free and all are welcome.
