The Ardrahan Agricultural Show is to be held again this year on Sunday July 10 at its usual location at Labane.
There will be a wide range of horse and pony classes, including many qualifiers for the Irish Shows Association National Championships, the Northern Ireland Festival, and the Irish Pony Society Championships.
The event will also host the All Ireland Ridden Hunter Championship with a prize fund of €2,000 and the All Ireland Ridden Irish Draught Championship with a prize fund of €1,600.
There will be a very good selection of classes in the sheep section, including classes for Galway, Suffolk, Beltex, and Crossbred. There will be a special Young Stockperson’s event in which young handlers under 16 years of age can use their skills in how to handle and show their sheep.
Ardrahan also has a good range of poultry classes including a qualifier for the National Champioships. Of course, the ever popular Dog Show is a must for all canine lovers. Added to this, is a variety of family entertainment, including the bonny baby contest and the most appropriately Dressed Lady, several trade stands and bouncing castle.
