Galway riders will represent Ireland at the European Showjumping Championships in Comporta, Portugal, this week.
Turloughmore native Michael Duffy, with horse Killard Horizon, has been selected for the junior (u-18 ) showjumping team following recent impressive results, and he will be joined by Sven Hadley, from Craughwell with Adelgonde Z.
Fellow Craughwell native Tim MacDonagh and his horse Cor D’Alou have been selected to represent Ireland on the Children On Horses (u-14 ) Showjumping Team.
All three Galway riders have been part of Horse Sport Ireland’s showjumping high performance programme in recent months, under manager, Comdt John Ledingham.
The Junior Nations Cup will take place on Thursday at 8.30am (Irish time ), while the Children On Horses Nations Cup will take place on Saturday at 8.30am (Irish time ).
