TRACK DOGS, the new band name for the Garrett Wall Band, are coming back to Galway to play Monroe’s Live on Sunday at 10.30pm.
The acoustic quartet are based in Madrid and made up of two Irishmen; Garrett Wall (vocals/guitar ) and Dave Mooney (bass/vocals ); Englishman Howard Brown (trumpet/vocals ); and Ohio’s Robbie K Jones (cajón/banjo ).
On this current Irish tour the band will be promoting their new album Track Dogs, which features 10 songs and two instrumentals, including a reworking of the Nick Drake classic ‘Hazey Jane II’. The band will also play Mullarkeys, Clifden, on Saturday.
Also playing Monroe’s Live on Sunday is Edinburgh singer-songwriter Simon Kempston whose music straddles contemporary folk, blues, and Celtic. Doors are at 9.30pm. Admission is €10.
