THE PERCY French Summer School will take place at Castlecoote House, Castlecoote, Co Roscommon, from Wednesday July 13 to Friday 15.
The theme of this year’s school will be ‘Lead Kindly Light’ and will focus on the relationship between Cardinal John Henry Newman and songwriter, artist, and entertainer Percy French.
Speakers will include historian and commentator Tim Pat Coogan; The Irish Times’ Patsy McGarry; and Padraic Conway, UCD vice-president. There will also be music recitals and children’s events.
