A Monivea man accused of being in possession of cannabis valued at €1,800 for the purpose of sale and supply has been further remanded on continuing bail.
Adrian Cheevers (48 ) with an address at 16 Glennaslat, Monivea, Co Galway, appeared at Galway District Court on Monday charged with two counts of possession of drugs, and two counts of possession of drugs for sale or supply at Shantalla Road and at 16 Glennaslat on April 21 2011.
Inspector Ernie White told the court that the Director of Public Prosecutions has consented to the matter being dealt with summarily in the district court and that the amount of cannabis that Cheevers is alleged to have been found in possession of is estimated to be €1,800.
Accepting jurisdiction Judge Mary Fahy further remanded the accused on continuing bail to appear at Galway District Court again on October 26, 2011.
