The g Hotel will give the cab drivers of Galway something to hoot their horn about today as the five-star hotel is planning its annual Taxi Appreciation Day today, Thursday June 30.
Drivers can collect their on-the-go lunch pack from 1pm to 2pm at the award winning hotel’s main entrance as a thank you for looking after guests throughout the year, chauffeuring them to and from the hotel, along with being wonderful ambassadors among locals and visitors to the city.
General manager Damien O’ Riordan and his team will be on hand at the entrance of the hotel to distribute the complimentary lunchtime treat which will include a freshly prepared sandwich, chilled refreshment and a famous g cupcake.
A total of 100 goodie bags will be distributed on a first-come first-served basis so be sure to arrive at the g on time. “The Taxi Appreciation Day is a novel thank you to all the taxi drivers in Galway. After the success of last year’s inaugural event, we are thrilled to make it an annual occasion and we hope to welcome drivers to the hotel today from 1 pm to 2pm,” stated Mr O’ Riordan.
