Gardaí appeal for information on burglaries and thefts

Gardaí have appealed for information following a number of recent burglaries and robberies around Galway.

A house in Wellpark Grove was broken into earlier this week. This burglary occurred at some time on Monday or Tuesday.

Last week a break in occurred at a car dismantling premises on the Headford road. A number of catalytic converters were taken in the raid. Anyone who has been offered a catalytic converter for sale since the burglary, which took place at some time on Friday June 24 or Saturday June 25, is asked to contact the Garda.

A burglary took place at a house in Castan, Doughiska, between midnight and 9.30am on Wednesday June 22. A silver BMW, registration 01 LK 2291, was also stolen and gardaí have appealed for information on the whereabouts of the car.

A house on Ard Aoibhinn Drive, Ballybane, was broken into on Wednesday June 22, and a green Ford Focus estate, registration 00 G 10042, was taken. Gardaí are also appealing for information on this vehicle.

Two people were robbed in the city last week. The robberies occurred on Long Walk on Saturday June 25 at 8.30pm, and on the railway line between Ceannt Station and Renmore on Sunday June 26 at around 5.30pm.
