THE CHAKRAS are creating something of a stir at the moment. The Times compared them to Doves while Q said their “epic, swirling psychedelia recalls Richard Ashcroft’s gang at their peak”.
If you want to see what all the fuss is about then check them out when they play the Róisín Dubh on Monday at 9pm.
The Dublin born, London based five piece are led by brothers Rocky and Gordo Whittaker. Their influences include Soul In Heaven, The Verve, and the Jesus and Mary Chain. The band will release their new single ‘Drifting’ on July 15 and their debut album Build Me A Swan in September.
