Two Galway businessmen made tax settlements in the first quarter of this year, the latest list of tax defaulters published by the Revenue Commissioners reveal.
Modestas Ramanauskas Ltd, a company based at European Foodstore, 3 Terryland Retail Park, which is listed as a blocklaying service and retail shop proprietor, made a settlement totalling €84,000 in taxes, interest, and penalties arising from the underdeclaration of VAT and PAYE/PRSI and a Revenue audit case. This figure included a total of €54,008 in tax €29,992 in interests and penalties.
Patrick J Fahy, a publican with an address at 71 Bohermore, Galway, made a settlement totalling €49,638 arising from an underdeclaration of VAT and income tax, and a Revenue audit case. The settlement comprised €34,726 in tax €14,912 in interest and penalties.
