Land Rover's Discovery hooks Jamie Heaslip

Jamie Heaslip, the leading Leinster and Irish rugby forward, has been appointed as a brand ambassador for Land Rover.

Land Rover Ireland general manager, Eddie Kavanagh, told the Advertiser: “Jamie is an excellent brand ambassador for Land Rover in Ireland. Power, agility, and an indomitable spirit are qualities that sum up both Land Rover and the great competitive rugby Jamie plays.

“Today’s announcement is particularly significant as Land Rover recently announced its global sponsorship of Rugby World Cup 2011 in New Zealand and we look forward to working with Jamie during this time. We would like to wish Jamie the very best of luck in the World Cup later this year.”

A self-proclaimed Land Rover enthusiast, Jamie Heaslip was delighted to take delivery of his new Discovery 4: “I’m thrilled to be working with Land Rover - a brand I’ve always held in high esteem. The Discovery 4 really is in a class of its own and I can’t wait to drive it and the rest of the Land Rover range.”

The versatile seven-seat Discovery 4 remains one of the most capable vehicles on and off the road. It is the ideal tow vehicle, can tackle the most challenging off-road conditions, and delivers superb on-road refinement. Featuring a powerful and highly efficient TDV6 3.0 litre diesel engine, fresh exterior and premium cabin, it is the ultimate all-purpose vehicle.

Discovery 4 passenger versions in Ireland have starting prices from €60,900.
