International poetry at Over The Edge

WRITERS FROM Italy, Albania, the United States, and Ireland will be reading at the Over The Edge June Writers’ Gathering, which takes place next week.

The reading takes place in The Kitchen at the Galway City Museum, Spanish Arch, on Friday June 24 at 8pm.

The evening will include the Galway launch of new poetry collections by Rhode Island’s Joseph Lennon, Fell Hunger (Salmon ), and Albania’s Ndrek Gjini, The Death Of Night (EMAL ).

Galway fiction writer Jim Mullarkey will read from his forthcoming collection of short stories, Murph’s Advice, which will be published by Doire Press in September. Jim has also been short-listed for the Raymond Carver Short Story Award.

The Italian poets Luca Artioli, Andrea Garbin, Fabio Barcellandi and their translator Dave Lordan will be reading from their recent publication Poethree - New Italian Voices (Thauma Edizioni, 2011 ).

Admission is free and all are welcome.
