GIVEN HOW our banks have plunged this State into recession and economic meltdown, we’d all like to give them a bloody nose to show our disgust.
Not easy to do, but it is good to know that sometimes the little guy can take on the financial institutions and win. One such man is San Diego comedian and motivational speaker Patrick Combs.
Patrick Combs is bringing his one man show Man 1, Bank 0 to the Town Hall Theatre on Saturday June 25 at 8pm.
Man 1, Bank 0 ells the true story of how Comba lodged a $95,000 junk-mail cheque into his bank account and about what happens after his bank cashes the ridiculously large sum of money into his personal bank account.
The show has toured internally and enjoyed great critical praise. Broadway World said it was “two hours of non-stop laughter”, while Canada’s Victoria Times described it as “an invigorating roller coaster ride”. HBO named the show one of the funniest comedies it has seen when it was first staged in the US in September 2003.
