Join Access Music Project’s School of Rock

Access Music Project’s summer music school, School of Rock, is now accepting applications with classes being held from July 4 to 15.

The School of Rock is for those aged between 13 and 18 and caters for musicians at every level. This year in a new development, performers from the Main Line School of Rock, Philadelphia will visit the Rock School on July 4.

The Philadelphia based School of Rock students are bringing their ‘delta squad’ house band of students to perform in Ireland and AMP’s School of Rock is the venue on Monday July 4.

The performance will be followed by an interactive forum with students and tutors of the Galway School of Rock. Twinning resources and talent, this promises to be a unique and exciting start to Galway’s most popular summer school.

The School of Rock takes place in St Patrick’s Bandroom, Forster Street, and runs from 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday. The first week of lessons runs from July 4 to 8. The next series of classes is from July 11 to 15.

The cost is €145 (€220 for two family members or for two weeks if booked by June 24 ) and covers all tuition, music and lunch, but you must bring you own guitar.

Places are limited and are allocated on a first come, first served basis. For more information contact 091 - 533861, www.accessmusicproject.ie, or Access Music Project, 122 Bothar Mór, Galway. The closing date is June 24.
