Dance and theatre enthusiasts are in for a treat when Moongate Dance Theatre presents the world premiere of The Boy, The Kite, and The Wind at the Black Box Theatre tonight at 8.30pm.
This production, choreographed by Cherie Worthington-Eyre, is a magical journey of self discovery and human emotion as seen through the eyes of a young boy. The story is expressed through contemporary dance and aerial silk movement based on Tibetan music.
Moongate Dance Theatre is a youth dance company founded in 2009, which also incorporates aerial skills, acrobatics, mime, and song into its practice. Artistic director and founder Cherie Worthington-Eyre is a member of Dance Ireland and the Australian and Irish Gymnastics Associations.
