Open Day with Galway hurlers

Hurling fans can enjoy an afternoon with the Galway hurling team at a special open day on Saturday at Kenny Park, Athenry.

The Open Day will begin with a challenge match between Galway and division two league champions Limerick at 2pm after which the players will be available to meet the fans.

Also, in an event for primary school children up to 12 years of age, the Galway hurlers will conduct a skill session, giving youngsters a unique opportunity to see, meet, and pick up hurling tips from the Galway hurling panel. To participate in the skills session, children must have their hurl, helmet and sliotar.

Hurling sponsors Supermacs will provide catering in Kenny Park on the day and a draw for signed Galway 2011 jerseys will take place.

Further details are available on the GHSC website www.ghsc.ie and on GHSC Facebook page.

The event is hosted by the Galway Hurling Supporters’ Club, in conjunction with the Galway Hurling Board.
