PUPPETRY, THEATRE, and visual art will combine in the show Seeing and Dreaming, which is performed at the Galway Arts Centre this Saturday at 3pm and 8pm.
Seeing and Dreaming, a collaboration by Sarah Fuller and Vanessa Earl, tells the intricate stories of two lives. Dorothy is 80, and lives alone in a Victorian house in Birmingham. She has one eye, no teeth and enjoys Starsky and Hutch. Michael is 88. Gnarled and bedridden, he dreams of dancing and wild horses.
Dorothy’s story is told through the memories of her eight-year old granddaughter who spent many weekends alone with her. Michael’s story focuses on the last year of his life spent in hospital.
The show is suitable for adults and children aged 10 and over. Tickets are €10. For more information contact the Galway Arts Centre on 091 - 565886.
