Athenry singer and composer Julie Feeney will be featured on a new compilation album of Irish music as part of the State visits by the British queen and US president.
The album, Music From Ireland 2011, will be presented to the more than 1,000 visitors and key national and international media who will be in Ireland for the visits.
The main aim of the project is to promote Irish artists both at home and abroad with a view to having the musicians being heard by the recipients, which includes international press.
The album features indie and rock, folk and traditional, and classical and contemporary. The song from Julie Feeney which is being featured is ‘Impossibly Beautiful’ from her acclaimed second album pages.
