David Bremner to play Árus na nGael

PIANIST DAVID Bremner will perform a diverse range of music at Árus na nGael, Dominick Street, on Friday May 20 at 7pm.

At the concert, Bremner will perform Nancarrow’s ‘Two Canons for Ursula’; Feldman’s ‘Palais De Mari’; Donatoni’s ‘Rima’; La Monte Young’s ‘Composition 1960 # 7’ and ‘X for Henry Flynt’; Reich’s ‘Pendulum Music’; Ligeti’s ‘The Devil’s Staircase’; and Hoban’s ‘Misha_ayre_ugh’.

Bremner will also perform his own composition ‘Dreaming In Boxes’ and ‘Piano Piece (Dréacht Pianó )’ which was written by the Galway based composer David Ernest McCarthy. Bremner and McCarthy will also perform experimental music.

Bremner is originally from England is currently the organist at Christchurch Cathedral, Dublin. He studied music at Oxford with Richard Baker. He is also a member of the Irish Composers Collective.
