IRISH, SCOTTISH, and Breton traditional music combine in the sound of Triúr, the trad music trio, who play a series of gigs in Galway city this month.
Triúr - Úna Ní Fhlannagáin (harp/vocals ), Ger Chambers (accordion ), and Brewen Favrau (pipes, whistle, and vocals ) - draw on the energy of the céilí bands, the piping traditions of Brittany and Scotland, and the sean-nós of Connemara to create their own particular sound.
Triúr play the Nuns Island Theatre tomorrow at 8pm, on Saturday at 3pm, and Sunday at 3pm. They return to the venue on Monday 16 at 8pm as part of the Fête de la Bretagne/St Yves’ day celebrations, and on Saturday 21 they play Áras na nGael at 8pm.
Tickets are €10/7 and are available on the door. For more information contact 087 - 6600239 or see www.triur.ie
