Foghorn Trio to bring US sounds to Monroe’s

THE FOGHORN Trio are two Americans and a Québécois who play old time American folk, Appalachian trad, and Cajun music.

The trio - Stephen ‘Sammy’ Lind and Caleb Klauder from Portland, Oregon, and Nadine Landry from Quebec - play Monroe’s Backstage Bar on Wednesday May 11 at 8.30pm.

The Foghorns play in unison, gathered around a single mic, carried along by their driving rhythms and fierce determination to keep traditional music alive and exciting for this and future generations.

Hearth Music has praised their “high, holy harmonies and face-blasting fiddle tunes” and declared “We can focus on this beautiful music, while you all focus on kicking ass.”

Also playing on the night is Galway singer and musician Norianna Kennedy who is currently promoting her new album Ebb’n’Flow. Admission is €6.
