Galway hurling set to fly

Galway hurling has secured a sponsorship deal with Aer Lingus for three years - the first of its kind for the national carrier.

Galway Hurling Supporters’ Club chairman Eamon Bradshaw says it is a major breakthrough for the club and Galway hurling.

“To have Aer Lingus come on board as a major partner for Galway Hurling for a three-year period is very exciting and most unique. Galway is the only county being partnered by Aer Lingus,” he says.

“Their principle concentration from the partnership will be the Galway worldwide diaspora  and promotion of hurling, especially underage, in the county.”

In addition the funding will provide specialist additional support to the Galway seniors.
