Galway Gardaí are appealing for witnesses of a serious assault that took place at Wood Quay on Saturday night, April 16.
Two males who were sitting in a blue Volkswagen taxi were pulled from the vehicle and seriously assaulted. One of the injured men was brought to University College Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
There were a number of people in the Wood Quay area at the time of the incident but no one came to the assistance of the victims.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the Wood Quay area who witnessed anything to do with the incident to contact them. They are particularly interested in speaking to the driver of a dark coloured taxi which was in the vicinity of the assault when it occurred.
