Why not make this Christmas a Cava Christmas?

Cava, Galway's only Spanish restaurant and tapas bar, is now taking bookings for Christmas parties of any size and number.  Groups can choose from two menus chosen by chef patron, JP McMahon.

First, for both menus, there's a rose cava reception upon arrival. Then, guests can sit down, make themselves comfortable and enjoy the atmosphere of one of Galway's finest left bank restaurants.

Following this, patrons can choose from either the 'Christmas tapas menu, or the 'Christmas dinner menu'; both contain exquisite dishes that not only evoke Spain and the cuisine of the Iberian Peninsula, but evoke the wintry spirit of an Irish Christmas.  Sample dishes from the dinner menu include: Butternut Squash soup with saffron foam, caramelised fig and toasted hazelnut salad, 10oz sirloin steak with chorizo, spinach, and pan-fried new potatoes, free-range chicken with autumn fruits, and monkfish and prawn with truffled mash potato and pimento cream.

On the tapas side of things, guests can choose from a selection of eight seasonal tapas, which include old favourites as well as some new additions to the menu.

To finish, the chefs of Cava have come up with some sumptuous desserts, such as Christmas pudding ice-cream and strawberry and rose cava jelly served with cinnamon cream.

Whether tapas or the traditional three course, Cava can offer you all that you need to make sure you remember your Christmas party, even if you do have a bottle from the restaurant's regionally extensive wine list.
