Leading crime writer to read in Portuma

JOHN CONNOLLY, one of Ireland’s leading crime writers, is coming to Portumna on Thursday May 5 at 7.30pm in The Shannon Oaks Hotel.

Since the publication of Every Dead Thing in 2000 Connolly has become a major voice in crime fiction, enjoying critical praise and huge sales. The book also introduced the much loved character Charlie Parker and Connolly’s next Parker adventure is out in September.

Also reading are Alex Barclay and Kevin Barry. Barclay blends psychological suspense, multidimensional characters and edgy plot-lines. Kevin Barry’s debut novel, The City Of Bohane, launched at Cúirt, depicts a surreal Ireland of the future.
