Three men walk into a bar...

WHAT HAPPENED when An Irishman, an Englishman, and an American walked into a bar? They took out their guitars and started to play.

The Big City Folk Showcase, featuring singer-songwriters Niall Connolly (Cork ), Warren Malone (Manchester ), and Casey Black (Nashville ), is coming to The Crane Bar, Sea Road, on Thursday May 5 at 8pm.

Niall Connolly is no stranger to Galway and on the night he will play songs from his new album Super Cool Fantastic which will be released in May. The album will be available at the gig in a limited edition, numbered handmade, screen printed package.

Casey Black began writing and recording songs at 14, and signed with EMI Music Publishing at 19, making him one of the youngest staff songwriters.

Now based in New York, Casey recorded his forthcoming record, It Shapes Me As It Goes, in a one-room studio in Brooklyn. It will be released digitally on May 24. Advance physical copies will be available at the show.

Warren Malone’s music mixes traditional folk and pop and his influences are Hank Williams and Elvis.
