Benetton lovers will be delighted to learn that a new look store has opened at Anthony Ryans in Shop Street.
Located on the ground floor this ultra modern store is only the second in the British Isles (after Oxford Circus, London ) to feature the international brand’s new look store design by Italian designer Piero Lissoni.
The store is part of ongoing redevelopments at Anthony Ryan’s which will see a number of initiatives over the next couple of months.
Speaking at the opening Anthony Ryan, the managing director of Anthony Ryan’s, said that the re-introduction of the brand to Galway represented the commitment of Anthony Ryan Group to bring value and increased choice to their customers.
“In order to keep growing as a business it is essential that we keep up with our customers’ needs. We are delighted to open the Benetton store within Anthony Ryan’s as we believe that the price point and merchandise will offer our customers increased choice and good value for their money.”
Encompassing more than 1,000 square feet the new store stocks women’s and children’s wear. Inspired by a day on the farm, the children’s wear range includes pretty cotton poplin dresses, blouses with tiny floral prints and checks which co-ordinate perfectly with denim mini skirts and jackets. Colourful T- shirts with maxi script motifs, ripped distressed jeans and yarn dyed check shirts ensure the boys look great this summer.
A key look for women this season is the army look where the rigour of military clothing is softened by romantic, ultra-feminine touches. Cotton is the main fabric and is teamed with linen, silk and viscose to create blouses and shirts, T-shirts, dresses, trousers and skirts.
The official opening on Friday night attracted a capacity crowd and featured a fashion show with models from the local Catwalk model agency with younger models from the Performing Arts School.
