Ulysses sails to the moon and back
Since it began service on the Dublin – Holyhead route, the giant Irish Ferries cruise ferry Ulysses, the world’s largest car ferry, has been to the moon and back – twice.
With an enviable record of service – in the 10 years it has been in service the vessel has never lost a sailing due to adverse weather - Ulysses has sailed a distance of almost one million miles.
This equates to two trips to the moon and back or 33 times around the world.
