Thirty Minute Film Festival

THE THIRTY Minute Film Festival, involving 30 short films, each one minute in length, is a new strand which will form part of this year’s Galway Film Fleadh.

This new festival, a collaboration between the Galway Film Centre and Input Media, is seeking films to screen. Two winners will be chosen from the selected entries.

The festival is open to seasoned film experts and novices with mobile phones all you need to do is upload your HD video onto YouTube. There is no theme for the films and you can submit as many entries as you like. You must also submit the web address of the video via through the online entry form at www.inputmedia.ie/one/ or www.galwayfilmfleadh.com along with the title and a short description of the piece.

The 30 short films will be selected from the entries by a panel of judges. The shortlist will be announced online. The selected entrants will be invited to a public screening during the fleadh and there will be two awards, an audience award and a judges’ award.

The closing date for entries is 5pm Friday June 11. The Galway Film Fleadh takes place from July 5 to 10.
