Karl Jenkins to conduct The Armed Man in Galway

COMPOSER AND conductor Karl Jenkins will make his Irish debut in Galway when he conducts The Armed Man - a Mass for Peace in Leisureland, on Thursday April 28 at 8pm.

Karl Jenkins composed The Armed Man about a decade ago and it immediately became a sensation with the subsequent album going gold. Since then it has been performed in concert nearly 1,000 times.

The Armed Man will be performed by The Galway Baroque Singers, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, and conductor/composer Karl Jenkins. The work promises to bring the audience on a moving journey from the cacophony of war to a final message of hope and peace. The concert will also feature Jenkins’ ‘Te Deum’ and ‘Palladio’.
