Groundworks Studios will run a series of craft workshops for children starting next week in Groundworks Studios, Lyrr Building 3, Mervue Business Park.
Children can learn how to create ‘Easter Chirpy Chicks’ using felt and stitch with Joanna McGlynn (Monday April 18 ). Vivienne Martin will hold a Mardi Gras mask making workshop (Tuesday 19 ) and traditional Easter egg painting (Wednesday 20 ).
Berni McCabe will show children how to make their own Easter treat bag by recycling unwanted T-shirts (Tuesday 26 ) while Lisa Ryder will show children how to make quirky animals using fabric and markers (Wednesday 27 ).
There will also be origami with Jenny McKenna (Thursday 28 ), and Ester Kiely will give her ‘I am an Artist, this is my ideas journal’ workshop (Friday 29 ).
Workshops are for those aged seven to 12. All workshops run from 10am to 12 noon and cost €15 per class. Places are limited to 10/12 per class and early booking is essential.
