Steve Mason to play Róisín Dubh

SCOTLAND’S STEVE Mason was an essential part of The Beta Band and King Biscuit Time. These days he is a solo artist on tour and with a new single.

Steve Mason plays the Róisín Dubh on Sunday at 9pm while his new single, ‘All Come Down’ will be released through Double Six on Monday April 25.

The single has been taken from his solo album, Boys Outside, which was released last year and which featured on the end of year ‘best ofs’ in Q, Mojo, and NME.

Steve is most famous as the man behind The Beta Band, one of the finest and most creative acts to emerge from Britain in the 1990s. Their most famous song is ‘Dry The Rain’ and to get a taste of whey they were about see www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsbR2dEmHGc After calling it a day with the Betas, Steve developed a solo project, King Biscuit Time, releasing the album Black Gold and a number of singles, including the magnificent ‘I Walk The Earth’ which has often been played by Gugai at his Róisín Dubh DJ sets.
