MOMENT, THE explosive new drama by Deirdre Kinahan and Tall Tales Theatre Company, is coming to the Town Hall Theatre, from Tuesday April 26 to Saturday 30.
The story opens on a seemingly ordinary evening when an Irish family sit down to tea, but it’s different tonight as Nial is back from prison. He has news to share and a conscience to clear. Will he receive forgiveness from his family for the murder he has committed?
Writer and artistic director of the Tall Tales Theatre Company Deirdre Kinahan, is the winner of the Tony Doyle Bursary with BBC Northern Ireland 2009 and she is currently under commission to The Abbey Theatre.
The director is David Horan and the cast includes An Spidéal’s Kate Nic Chonaonaigh, along with Deirdre Donnelly, Maeve Fitzgerald, Will O’Connell, Ronan Leahy, Aela O’Flynn, Rebecca O’Mara, and Karl Quinn.
The play has already received rave reviews with Irish Theatre Magazine describing David Horan’s direction as “a masterclass in the detailed realism, tantalising pace, and shocking release of tension inherent in Kinahan’s sharply observed script”.
The Mail on Sunday said the “emotional explosion that eventually erupts in this new play can take its place with any of the great theatrical dust-ups”
Tickets are available from the Town Hall on 091 - 569777 and www.tht.ie
