The issue of debt has become one of the most dominant themes in the media and it will be the subject of a public training workshop this weekend.
The Galway One World Centre and the Debt and Development Coalition Ireland will host the workshop this Saturday and Sunday from 10.30am to 4pm in the Galway One World Centre in Bridge Mills.
The workshop will look at debt and tax issues in depth; will support participants to explore debates on debt and tax justice locally and globally; and will examine what could be done to work for a fairer global economic system for all. Emphasis will be placed on participatory methods of learning, with plenty of time for participants to ask questions, discuss issues, and to plan follow up actions.
Participants are asked to contribute €20/15 (€1 for the unwaged and people in direct provision ). Lunch is included on both days.
