Galway basketball club Titans contest this year’s National League division one finals on Sunday. The Galway outfit will face Team Garveys St Mary’s (Castleisland, Kerry ) at 5pm in the National Basketball Arena, Tallaght.
Titans overcame South Conference winners and local rivals Maree in last weekend’s semi-final by 76-68 at Oranmore, despite being behind 35 - 32 at half time. Maree, fielding a young team, ran out of steam in the fourth quarter, surrendering a lead that had at one stage been as big as 16 points. For the winners, Maree will content themselves with retention of the u-20 National Cup and their first Southern Conference MNL win.
Titans will be hoping their third trip to the MNL final will bring their first win.
