Galway grab the right to brag

And the bragging rights go to Galway.

Clarinbridge’s victory over Kilkenny oufit O’Loughlin Gaels secured Galway’s 11th All Ireland Club crown.

No other county has won as many club titles, or had as many clubs win the crown. In victory Clarinbridge denied Kilkenny taking that honour. They currently have 10, while Cork boast nine.

On an historic day for the south Galway club, Clarinbridge also became the sixth Galway club to win the All Ireland title.

They join Castlegar (1980 ), Kiltormer (1992 ), Sarsfields (1993-94 ), Athenry (1997-2000-2001 ), and Portumna (2006-2008-2009 ).
