A new cookbook, Inside the Italian Kitchen by Italian chef Marco Roccasalvo and food writer Anne Kennedy, will be launched in L’Arco Italian restaurant in Ballyvaughan on Monday March 28 at 7.30pm. Marco Roccasalvo will also host a cookery demonstration on Tuesday, March 29 at 7pm in L’Arco.
Marco Roccasalvo is a gifted teacher, and his demonstration will give people an understanding of Italian ingredients and how to use them to recreate Italy in their homes. Tickets are €50 and places are limited.
The book will be on sale at L’Arco (www.burrenrestaurant.com ) and in Quinn’s craft shop, Main Street, Ballyvaughan, Co Clare.
L’Arco Italian restaurant was established in 2009 by George Quinn and his son David. The restaurant uses many authentic Italian ingredients including salamis, oils, olives, and wines. George Quinn believes in providing a thoroughly Italian experience — enhanced by the use of local meat and fish when it features on the specials menu.
